Recommended mods/tweaks/fixes

    Some mods do not work well with my installation. I don't know if it is because I am running Windows XP or something else.

    So, I am interested in ANY mods/tweakes/fixes that you recommend as stable and enjoyable.

    Specifically, I am interested in whether the BG2ThroneOfBhaalFixPack112 located at http://members.rogers.com/mrkevvy/ToB/Fixes/TOBfixes.html is worthwhile.

    I specifically recommend
    Weimer's stuff.
    There you will find the Solaufein Mod/Romance. In the mod you will have the option of romancing Solaufein and adding him to your party, and also getting Smarter Mages, beholders, Vampires etc etc for those who think the game's too easy.

    Also the Valed pack, get Valen (vampire) into your party.

    The Ascencion adds harder Enemies toward the end of the game and more end-of-game dialog.

    The Easy-of-Use mod is a collection of lots of little Tweaks, Mods and Fixes, great stuff.


    All of the above are known to be very stable and very very good. The Character mods feature excellent custom graphics and items.
    I highly recommend these things.

    Weimer's pack is interesting for those who have already played through SoA/ToB. It offers a lot of new challenges and extra gameplay.

    For stability and bug-fixing, I'd recommend our own Extremist, and his "SPfixpack". You can find it on the BG2 files page on SP. It fixes a lot of problems with Shadows of Amn, although it is not compatible with ToB. Definitely worth a shot though. :)
