Recreating a Character

    I have a messed up NPC in my party (Jan is missing some stats). If I were to kill him using control+y then recreate him using the cheat console would he still banter and get his quest etc. or would that kill all his interactions?

    Banter would be completely unaffected so long as you let him join normally. As for the quest, let me check...

    Okay, it looks like the timer is set when you accept him. If you haven't done it yet you'll be fine (though you'll have to wait longer), but otherwise there will be bugs. Of course, I could give you the codes to reset all of the variables, but I doubt you want to do it twice.

    But honestly, I'd look for the cause of the problem instead of just trying to fix the symptoms. What happened?

    I installed the Alex Macintosh mod and bought the thieves glasses (+25 find traps, true sight 3x a day). It seems if you actually use the true sight you lose all your weapons proficiencies lol. I have decided to go back to a much earlier save and ditch the glasses...what a waste of time :p

    Instead of going crazy, just uninstal the mod and change Jan's stats with SK.
