[IMG] I saw RE the other day. The film was so-so, genuinely scary at points, but without much depth. I never played RE1, but did play RE2. The film leaves open the possibility of a sequel, too, starting where RE2 started from as I recall. Anyone else see it?

I saw it, and I loved it.

I especially liked the "trap" with laser, it was great and make me think of the movie "cube". The zombies were very well made, but the big "I don't know what it was" monster was, to my opinion, pointless. Alice (Milla Jovovich) was so cute and Rain (Michelle Rodriguez) was cool too.
Edit: I did not play any of the games.

I haven't, but am going to! I played REI and II. Are there a lot of simularities to the game? I still remember REI, when I walked down the hall and the Doberman pinschers jumped through the windows and chased me:mommy: I almost shit myself:lol:

Never played the game, just watched the movie.

Kinda' nifty. I can tell the storyline had some plot holes in it that the game took care of, but for a 'port', it was fairly well done. Don't get me wrong; it can't compete against LOTR, but it's still worth watching one time.

Yes, I saw blade 2 too (the same day as resident evil:))good fights, good cast but...
I think the vampires in the bloodpack were not enough...specials. I mean, they are supposed to be an elite team of vampires but half of them seem very ordinary. You know, vampires are fast and super strong but what do they use: guns. Anyway, a good movie although.
