    [​IMG] Last night on our local UPN (a cable TV channel) affliate, they had a 1 hour special called "Return to Middle Earth: A Sneak Preview of the Two Towers".

    I watched it while my wife hid (She hasn't read the books and doesn't want any spoilers).

    I thought it was a great show! I'm more excited to see th Two Towers than ever.

    Anyone else catch the show? If so, what did you think?

    [​IMG] I watched bits and pieces of it...But every time they announced they were going to show a clip from the movie, I changed the channel.

    I can't wait to see Edoras on the big screen! New Zealand was a great place to shoot the movie! Most of the scenery and sets are exactly what I imagined when I read the books! I want to visit there someday.

    I like the girl that's playing Eowyn...She's a cutie!!

    The spoiler at the end didn't give a thing away ... it only served to wet my appetite even more.

    My only issue with the show:

    There was nothing on Gimili or the actor who played him (unless he had 2 minutes while I changed a diaper)

    Other than that ... I need to see this the day/weekend it opens!!!

    Tal ... we should get a Lord of the Rings smiley, there is going to be a flurry of posts about it. Maybe get a Gandal-like smiley smoking a pipe with a cloud ring coming out? Just more "unsolicited advice" :lol:

    Good luck getting tickets for the week it opens. I'll bet it's sold out all over the world. I heared that the movie was already on the first place in the most visited movies chart in a Scandanavian country.

    Dont think so.. I saw the first episode in the first week, the theater was half-empty.

    A lot of people thought they wouldn´t get a change anyway so they didn´t even bother. Also happened with Phantom Menace and AotC

    Sold out in Scandanavian countries I can believe. But not the world.

    Still it got off to a slow start here domestically in the U.S, and then picked up as time went on. Maybe this time TTT will start off with momentum. Time will tell.

    I know one thing. Aragorn is the man. And Vigo is a cool name :cool: . But bring a pillow for your bottom, it's another three hours. :p

    Well I have tickets, not for the premiere show but for the premiere day, just a few hours later :(
    I would have thought that everyone here would have made sure that you atleat got tickets for the first few days ;)

    Yes the Helms Deep shots looked awesome.I also thought it will be cool to see the animated Golem being one of the first to have a real actor play the part.

    Dorion Blackstar, what do you mean Gollum being one of the first to have a real actor playing the part?

    Do you mean like standing in and doing everything Gollum does only to get replaced by the real Gollum later?

    Because even our favorite Gungan did that. :p

    Can't wait!

    Got tickets for the opening day, but not the opening showing. Kinda difficult with work since the first showing is about 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

    I booked the tickets, then told my girlfriend who was sheduled to work that evening. Ooops. She's changed her shift now though. :)

    Bel ... about once every 4-6 hours. The diapers have many surprising benefits ... I can drink all the coffee or beer I want with out having to get up, plus the girls now think I have a really nice butt.

    The main point is that with the diapers, I *might* be able to make it through the Two Towers without having to get up!!! :p

    Well, guess what? I got, from a certain organization that I am a member of, a way of getting tickets to the premiere like, a month ago, but guess what? The premiere where the tickets were to was held in Helsinki, and I live way too far away to have any use to the offer. :(

    Otherwise, well, I would have gotten there.

    Now I am going to go see the movie as soon as I can...
