    Hi everyone,

So, I've never finished this game... I've made it through the ice temple before, but that's about as far as I got.

After playing BG1 again, I'm going to give this another shot.

But seeing as I get bored quickly with stale parties I decided to spicen it up a bit.

First off all, I add characters whenever I feel like it.
    So far I have
Jonas - Human Silverstar of Selune 5/Fighter 1 - healer, tank and diplomat
    Kira - Tiefling Rogue 3/Fighter 1 - thievy person
Gork - Half Orc Barbarian 1/Diviner 2 - yay for strange combos!

Pretty balanced and I haven't run into any trouble so far. I'm playing on hard and I'm about to attack Torak's Camp.

To liven it up a bit more I'm thinking of adding another rule. If a character dies to a named NPC, he stays dead.
While that may work at lower levels I'm concerned for the later chapters, is it possible to get someone up to fighting strenght after the ice temple? Or is this rule too hard and impossible?

Oh and another question, does anyone have any freaky race/class combos, or some other oddball character?

Really nice party! I congratulate you for choosing Silverstar as your priest. :thumb:

A little low on arcane power though. A half-orc is not as good as other races in wizardry. Ah, and what was the oppositio school of Diviners?

As for that rule of yours, it sounds difficult to accomplish. For example, Guardian Chakhopek (the name may be wrong) will surely kill at least one of your members...and he/she will have to stay dead? :aww:

You want freakish class/race/character combos? Try the best party strategy guides here on SP. They really offer some very weird combinations which are supposed to be very powerful. Never bothered to try them though, I like things simple, often going for single class characters:but I am old-school, preferring 2e rules and all... Heh. ;)

Confuse Chahopek, I got him stuck to a stele and was easy picking, but considering your half-orc spellcaster, I'd say you'll still have trouble.

Opposition of Diviner is Conjurer, not really a problem since evocation (IMO) is the most important, after all, the cleric has the best summon (though summon monster IX - remorhaz is solid gold).
