RING OF WIZARDRY

    First of all, if you have installed any BG patches, the ring is gone.

    Okay, here's where to find it. Outside the entrance to the Friendly Arm, walk east. Each time you come across a pine tree, wiggle the cursor around at the base. You'll find it right at the bottom of one of those trees.

    Oops, thought I was on the BG list.

    I only know of one ring of wizardry in IWD. It's in the caves where you meet Joril to get his badge. In the adjoining cave there is a huge dragon skeleton. About 1/2 way down its spine there is a gap in the ribs. Go through and you will find a sorcerer with a group of knights. You get the ring after this battle. But be warned, it's a toughie.

    Had to test my memory here -not that's it's important to IWD but there is another Ring of Wizardry in BG. If you apply the patch it'll wipe out the one to be found near the Friendly Arm Inn. However there is another one in the city BG, you fight one of the Sorcerers (no quest, just a house) who tells you 'what a mistake it was to try to break in and steal from his home' or something to that effect. He's tough if I recall, but a ring is found on him as well.
