    [​IMG] I have checked 2-3 walkthrough and they all talk about a "hidden ring of wizardy" at x 2552 y 376*
    at the friendly arm Inn. How can I acquire this ring? I move the cursor around this point but nothing happens (doesn't change so as to pick up an item).

    I think one version of the game doesn't have the item there.. Not sure exactly though.

    So...do I have to install the expansion "Tales of sword coast" for the ring to appear?
    Ah...when I complete the expansion's installation it asks me if I want to change the format of my saved games.. Yes/No on that? :)

    It is a very small point as it is a ring, you need to move mouse very slowly by bottom of tree at said coordinates. I don't know if you need TOTSC to have it or not, but there is added stuff if you install it.

    The ring was removed from BG1 in later patches.

    When you install TotSC it will be there again. I believe it was do to requests that it was restored.

    AFAIK there no problems converting your savegames. I allways do that.
