I downloaded the romance editor which is supposed to allow you to go after Jaheria, Aerie, and Viconia all at the same time. However, I just had to choose between Viconia and Aerie. Whichever one I choose it appears the romance is dead with the other. Using shadowkeeper I see that the romance variable for the non chosen goes to a 2 which I believe means its over. Plus the non chose no longer will talk to me after this point. Anyone know if this editor works or if it doesn't matter what the variable says once its installed?

[IMG] Are you refering to the romance patch?

If you are i believe that it has to be installed at the beginning of the game. So you might want to start all over at the beginning if you are trying to have all three :D

Yes to both. I am talking about the patch and I did install it prior to beginning this time.

It's a while ago since I used this patch. As I remember though, I installed it after I had started a game but before I made a romance choice and it worked ok. Though I started having other probelms with the game so removed all patches (I don't know if the romance was the one causing the problems). Unfortunatley, it doesn't seem that many people are using this patch and posting about it so I haven't been able to find anything to help you.

My advice would be to save the game, then continue playing for a bit longer. Maybe leave the computer on with the game paused and go and read a book or something. Romance dialogues tend to need quite a bit of real time to pass before they trigger. If you give it this time and nothing happens, you know the romance has stopped. If you do get a dialogue, go back to your save game and carry on knowing it is OK.

As to variables, I don't know how the patch works exactley so I don't know if it ignores the romance state variable you mention. More important of course is the romance rating variable as this relates to the dialogue. So this is the one to monitor to make sure things are still moving. Finally, if the romance patch hasn't worked and the romance state variable has switched to the romance stoped rating, I guess you could use shadow keeper to set it bak to romance on status (don't know what the valeus are though). I would suggest leaving that until you tried everything else though.

Anyway, sorry I can't help more.

PS if you know what you are doing, you can open the romance patches in notepad and take a look to see how they work.
