romance mods

I'm looking for opinions on the romance mods available for SoA/ToB. At this point, I've only done the standard 4 romances that come with the game, and I haven't added any romance mods to the game. So, what are the opinions out there on Imoen and Nalia? I suppose Kelsey also has a romance. I'm going to do a new one, and I'll probably play a male, so a female romance is what I'm most interested in.

 

Well, your options are...

Aerie/Jaheira/Viconia with Flirt Packs: Doesn't alter the core romances but there's all that flirting going on, plus a few extra dialogues here and there's the chance to get a new romance epilogue.

Tashia: Elven sorc. Has her fans. Makes fun of everyone, including the PC, whenever possible.

Mirrabbo Imoen: Someone will be along to tell you that it's the most moving thing they've ever seen in a bit. (Will romance either gender.)

Arnel's Nalia: Was only the second-ever mod romance (Solaufein was first), was written without the benefit of WeiDU, and was written in English by an Estonian. Some people like it, it has a couple of cute moments but I felt it didn't really expand upon Nalia's character in an interesting way.

Chloe: Kensai demigoddess. Lesbian romance only.

Kiara: Comes in the Kiara/Zaiya mod. They're a monk/wild mage pair. The original author abandoned the mod after some famously bad press over the plagiarized sex narratives, which have subsequently been replaced by original work by a different writer.

 

Yeah I did the Imoen romance it's really more developped than the ¨basic¨ romance. It's really well done. You should try it.

Flirt packs: a welcome addition.

Imoen: well, liked it. There. I feel Lord M really put his guts in this mod.

Tashia: nice, additional quest and all.

Solaufein: never got into it, too "obvious" I guess.

Chloe: not bad, but not excellent either. Some good voice-acting (but incomplete if memory serves me)

Nalia: didn't like it. Well, I don't like the original Nalia either so I'm biased.

 

The only additionaly one I've done is Tashia, and thought it was quite good, although it seemed a little unfinished. An update in the works I think (as soon as Delainy is finished IIRC).

Of course, you will also get another 3 amulets of power from the quest.

 

Getting rid of the Monty Haul and toning down some of her items are the first thing I'm changing when I get around to Tashia.

But yes, Delainy/Durlyle remains priority at this point.

 

Don't bother with the Imoen romance -it's written badly, IMO A pity, that; hopefully someone makes a second Imoen romancing mod.

Flirt-pack is mostly good, and you should definitely try it

 

I tried the Imoen romance mod once for a while. It was just well...creepy. Guess I'm not into incest at all. I laughed at the spelling errors and poor writing.

I took Chloe along with a male spellcasting Charname, so there was no romance at all. I wanted a kensai NPC. She had a few good banters and a badass attitude. Her interactions with Korgan and Edwin were hilarious.

Tashia: Very well made mod and virtually bug-free. But rather bland. And she only tags along with good-aligned parties. Bah.

Never tried the others.

 

Hmmm... It seems like it's coming down to Tashia or Imoen. It's going to be a tough decision, as I really don't foresee taking both of them along in the party. Of course, I certainly could take a mage and a sorcerer...

Are there any racial limitations on either of those romances? And finally, I checked on SP, and I wasn't able to find a link for these mods. Any idea where I can get them?
