Running BG II on a widescreen laptop

    I'd like to run Baldur's Gate II (and IWD II for that matter) on my laptop instead of my stationary computer but apparently the game can't run in widescreen.

    When I try to run BG II an error occurs and I'm told to change the resolution to 1920 x 1200 (the resolution I normally use) but the configuration program doesn't support this option.
    I've already tried to change the .ini-file manually (to 1920) but the error still occurs.
    I can, however, run the game in a window but I don't consider this to be an acceptable solution...

    Oh, and I use Windows XP (Home Edition).

    What are my options, if any?

    The game will only work with the 1600x1200 resolution (closest to yours), not 1920x1200. The game interface has to resize with every different resolution, and there isn't one for your resolution, therefore the game won't run at that. All modes above 800x600 are unsupported as it is.

    Doesn't Tweak XP (or a similar programme) allow you to set your screen resolution to exactly what you want?

    Setting the resolution is not a problem - it's getting the game to run at it. Even if you did manage to get it to run at that res, the interface would be all broken.
