I know that this building is used in the Anomen quest. But, the door into the first floor is locked by an unpickable lock. There's no staircase from the top floor to the bottom as far as I can figure.

Do you have to do the Anomen quest to be able to get into the first floor, or is this just one of those doors that Bioware put there to make people like me make threads about this on fansites?

Only do the quest if you really want chaotic neutral Anomen for roleplaying purposes. If you're evil, Viconia might be better, especially because you can romance her. If you're good, get Aerie or get him knighted.

The worst thing is that you have to wait a tenday for sir Ryan Trawl to appear and summon Anomen for his final trial. That does suck indeed.

Heh, personally I can't stand his random wav remarks. I've read all his dialogues cut from dialog.tlk etc and I could even like him were it not for his pathetic attempts at arrogance. Many people share these feelings, so be aware that you quite possibly belong to those people, trust me :D

There's no way to both kill Saerk and get Anomen knighted.

Not even if you get him knighted and then go kill Saerk? I alsways thought you could enter the estate regardless of the status of Anomen's quest. Not much need, though, unless you are really hungry for XP.

As far as I know you can't get to Saerk himself even if you loot whatever you can from downstairs and some rooms upstairs.

Shortly after Anomen is knighted, he will receive news that Saerk did, indeed, kill Moira. Anomen's father, in an attempt to kill Saerk, gets killed and Anomen freaks out. He leaves the party and goes to Saerk's estate. If you do not follow him and try to stop him, he will kill Saerk and leave the party for good. If you are romancing Anomen, him killing Saerk will also kill the romance. He will leave the party for good.

It's been so long since I've run my "all guy" party, I really don't remember. IIRC, the message about Saerk being the killer of Moira happens regardless of whether or not you are romancing him (and I've had studs romance him too, which is kind of entertaining) it's just that the responses are different when you come to try and stop him from killing Saerk.
