[IMG] I kicked Imoen at the Naskel mines, went on a wee trip among the forests etc, and then decided it was time to get a new thief.

I wanted Coran, but I have to wait to Ch4, so Safania seemed like the best choice, but the problem is that dispite Xan charming her (after she was charmed by a Sieren) she turns hostile as soon as the effects ware off. Even if I rest, as soon as the party wakes up she turns hostile after 5 seconds!

    Any suggestions?

In my experience, when you charm a creature it seems to automatically become hostile to you after the spell wears off. This is the case with animals and lots of people. It shouldn't be so with your party members, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was a bug. The Baldur's Gate series has almost too many bugs to count. :(

Do you think it would be safe to kill her, and then bring her to a temple to restore her life?

You've just earned the prized "I solve my problems through violence" T-shirt :D

IIRC, her script will be reset after being resurrected, so this may be your best option... either that, or keep charming her :p

Yes, though it may solve my little problem, its not exactly role-playing is it?

Well, you can always consider your character saying something on the lines of "Safanna, quit the sillyness or you'll know how it feels having twelve inches of steel in your belly!". And if she attacks...

Did you try kicking her from the party, while she's not hostile, then rejoining? If that fails, what about kicking her from the party and then using CTRL+Q (I think this was the one) on her?
