[IMG] "Now what," I hear you all asking, "have you been doing with all of your free time, beloved Shralp, since you've been away from SP?"

Well, adoring public, let me tell you:

    I've been sailing.

Joacqimby and other devotees of my website know that I was bitten by the sailing bug earlier this year, and now I'm even thinking of buying one for me and my soon-to-be (in February) bride to live on. So I wonder how many of you all are sailors or have tried it. Tell me how into it you got. Did you take a particularly cool trip? What was it like? Do you live near Virginia and want to give me your boat? Did a killer whale breach over your boat before crashing down on the other side and devouring your dog? And, for any of you from Poland, where are the Polish shipyards?

    Oooooh! *starts singing*
Shralp and his fiancé, sitting in a car...

I've always wanted to try sailing, but I've never had an opportunity.

I am not Polish but I would guess that there are some wharves in Gdansk (Danzig). Why on earth do you want Polish wharves for?

    Bride to be; sailing.

Yeah. Boat-sex, underneath the stars, is fairly decent as far as Hunney Moons go. Hammocks are tough to beat no matter what country you're from.

Other than that, I've been caught out in 30-foot seas on 35 foot craft. Totally un-fun in anything smaller than an aircraft carrier. Coast Guarders can keep that stuff for themselves.

I guess if you headed south to the Carolinas and the Virgin Islands, it might be a very pleasant cruise. Also, make sure you study your Pie-rat manual so you know all the scowls and whatnot.
