No, I'm not kidding. Go to Gamespot and read the article. Apparently, your eldritch brother whom you killed (x2) will join your party if you grant him a portion of your soul. 'Sounds like he's quite the fighter.

[IMG] we were just discussing this in the chat, Taluntain in all his wisdom is thinking: april fools joke but I reckon the new portrait is him...well, ok he has glowing eyes and that's about it...so much for artistic license, just wait and see...
(I reserve the right to say "i told you so" if it is...and you may point and laugh if it isn't)

I saw that mention of Sarevok as well. He's supposed to be some NPC that can join your party and swears loyalty to you if you assist him to regain his soul or something.

Nevertheless... I would love to see his 'real' stats. I also would love to see what his 2-H sword is like in HIS HANDS. It's supposed to have specific powers when he weilds it.

In BG I he was hitting my character while half asleep, laying down and using his left hand on a roll of 4 or 5. And I had an awesome negative AC!!! Yeah, I would love to see his real stats.

[IMG] I hope Elminster will not be joining, Sarevok is a far cooler idea. My chaotic evil Berserker will have no problem sacrificing a bit of his soul to have sarevok as his servent, if nothing else but to see him grovel. What I cannot understand is the idea of Xan or Gorian being the new NPC. Xan was farly hopless and Gorian was passed his best as a Mage when he died.

In ToB, there should be a special room with respawning Noobers and Neebers you could test magic and wild magic on.
    Fun for the whole family!

Priest kit- philosopher (Noober killer). Whenever Noober asks a stupid question a philosopher can reply with a lengthly and in-depth answer, which will ultimately drive Noober to suicide.
    eg
    Noober: What's a cleric?
Philosopher: A cleric, my son, is a priest of the generally accepted religions on the realms, however a full answer requires knowledge of the complete theology of all pantheons, the geography of the planes and the nature of belief.....

Xan was a wizard whom was kept in the Naskel Mines. If you kill his captor, he asks to join you. He has this really weird sword, a Moonblade, useable only by himself. Khalid got killed in the fight, so I took Xan with me and so I couldn't resurrect Khalid.
I always regretted that after I found out what a loser Xan was (In my oppinion, I can understand if someone likes him, his portrait was awsome).

Sarevok would be awesome. You couldn't even touch him in BG1 with magic and he was a fricken tank.

My guess is that they will introduce a new brother that you have to mentor / keep out of trouble.

He'll probably have a little better Slayer ability, and be given to wanton distruction.

That way the PC can play the roll of a mature Obi Wan, using the great knowledge he has aquired over the past games.
