Do you bring him along? Any dual class for him?

I myself dual him to Mage, if I play Good and Thief, if I play Evil. It sort of fits. I suppose it could be roleplayed as a sort of fresh start, character growth or whatever.

 

If I take NPCs as party members, I do like to take Sarevok as well. I just leave him as a fighter, though, his death bringer assault is so satisfying when it hits.

 

He's a fun party member to take along and I too always leave him as a fighter.

"Shrubbery, flowers. Weeds, all of it!"

 

I generally find that a lot of items left over, when all has been distributed among the party members, could benefit him more as, say, a Mage instead of just a plain Fighter..

 

That depends on what your preferred party setup is. I usually have plenty of fighter gear, as most, if not all, of the party members are casters.

 

If there's no-one else using two handed swords, there are plenty to give to Sarevok. Or even if you do, there still are plenty to give to him. Lack of items is usually not an issue.

 

I usually keep him as a fighter mostly due to not really liking to wait to get his fighting abilities back. Also that allows me to give him a new set of weapon prof which I often use for halberd.
