Sarevok's New Armor

I did a quick search about armors, though I only found threads about kensais, barbarians etc. Hence, I'm posting a new thread.

I'm in Yaga-Shura's household, and found myself an ever witness to Korgan's death(s). I play on insane so when someone get hit, they get hit. I've used Sarevok and Korgan as tanks in ToB so far, with my F/T doing some backup shots with the Gesen Bow. Since Korgan dies every now and then, I had to switch to close combat though, since Sarevok cant't taunt everyone to attack him instead of the almighty Edwin. Sarevok haven't died a single time though, so I checked up on their AC. Korgan has -11 and Sarevok -7. Sarevok has around 20 hit points more than Korgan, who'll take a nap after about four-five hits from a Fire Giant and friends. Why doesn't Sarevok die? Does he have something "extra", like Edwins massive spell ability (though he gets it from his necklace).

Is there a better armor than Armor of the Hart (AC -2) for Korgan? Is there a better than Red Dragon Armor (AC -1) for Sarevok?

Also,are there some better axes than Frostreaver Stonefire? They're both +3, so any improvement'd come in handy.

As I said, I'm just in the beginning of ToB. Any tip is welcome.

 

^At 4th level of Watchcer's Keep you will get Axe of Unyielding: +5, vorpal hit, regeneration and constitution bonus. This is one of the best weapons among all.

Doesn't Yaga-Shura wear pretty good armor?
Isn't Sarevok damn weak against massive attack? O_o

 

I was thinking of go to the Watcher's Keep ASAP, since it's one of my favourite dungeons. Well made, indeed.

 

Well, you already got the info on the Axe of the Unyielding. Yaga-Shura does have good armor. I'm probably going to butcher the spelling, but I think it's called Sharuppak's Plate. Also -2, which AFAIK, is the highest base armor class (tied w/Armor of the Hart) in the game.

 

There's a throwing returning ax in Amekthran you can buy from the thieves in the cave. Don't recall the name, sorry, but it's a +4 and has a chance to knock opponents backwards on a successful hit. Shurappka's plate is -2 *and* adds +1 to Dex. Give it to Korgan to increase his Dex to 16, unless you gave him the Dex gauntlets (then it's pointless).

I agree, Barmy. I can barely even remember what half the spells do.
