[IMG] Is there any good scimitar? I only see some good swords and hammers and likes, but I think there is only one good scimitar :( why not to get 2 or 3 to choose? the kind like most of swords, with 2 or 3 special things...

You may or may not consider these spoilers, at least for item locations.

There are a few. Rashad's Talon is +2 and gives you an extra attack. Dual wielding this with Crom Fayr is a great combo. You can find the Spectral Brand in Watcher's Keep, which, IIRC is 2d4+4, +1d4 cold damage, and is upgradable by Cespenar.

There are also Drizzt's scimitars if you kill him, but Malchor Harpel will take them away from you soon after, so you won't enjoy them for long. The ease of use mod disables him though, if you aren't opposed to mods.

Also, any wakizashi or ninja-to in the game also falls under this proficiency. I think there's one or two still that I'm forgetting, but I hope that helps.

[IMG] if you drop or sell Drizzt's scimitars, can you get them back after the mage left you alone?

One of the best off-hand weapons is the Scarlet Ninja-To +3, available from Joluv in the Copper Coronet. Gives 1 extra attack and poision damage, but it's only usable by monks. Once you get Use Any Item, it's great for a dual-wielding thief or fighter/thief.

Death Rabbit. The scimitar you are thinking of is Belm +2 which gives the extra attack. The Rashad's Talon is a vanilla +2.

In the Underdark the Drow Scimitar pic is nice, too bad about drow stuff. Also there is the Water's Edge +3 there.

The Scarlet Ninja-to gives extra attack and Belm gives extra attack so does dual wielding these give extra 2 attacks for a Swashbuckler or Blade?

In TOB the fun Scimitar is Yamato +4. Gives +1 AC also. Spectral Brand in Watcher's Keep can be eventually upgraded to +5 with Immunity to level drain and more! Fun and nuf!

Scimitars are worth it especially for UAI and thieves.

You can get some cool scimitars and clubs if you do the Trademeet quest.

Out of curiousity Beren, do you prefer her to use scimitar/shield or double-wielding scimitars?

In small parties I go with Spectral Brand/shield as she has to soak up a lot of pressure... however if I have a lot of melee chars in party, I figured to go with Spectral Brand/Yamato and her number of enemies killed rose up quite a bit... (besides, dual-wielding scimitars, wearing Schruppak's plate and Sendai's Ioun Stone - sexiest outfit there is... :p )

Well, I have my fighter/mage as the dual-wielding character. In my analysis, one dual-wielding character is enough.

So, I have Jaheira with the Spectral Brand and a shield. I find her Iron Skins spells last much longer for it.

    Interesting note ...

When I find the Deck of Many Things, I boot everybody out besides myself and Jaheira. I then force a draw of the Throne card (1,000,000xp). This allows Jaheira to obtain 15th level as a Druid quite early. So ... when I obtain the Darksteel Shield +4 from Sendai's Enclave, I find that Jaheira's elemental resistances really start to accumulate big-time.

It's awe-inspiring how such a beautiful girl can be so hard to kill. If more people gave her a chance, they'd discover just how powerful she becomes!

This is the tactic that I am going to implore from now on, when playing a full party. When I played my F/M/T-Jaheira duo she got to level 15th as a druid, just before entering Suldanessellar...

Btw, I only recently learned how to use the Deck in the most efficient way... I've been too wasteful before...

Oh, I agree totally... and in my last three ToB games she has lead the party in all the statistics - Exp obtained, number of kills... even my PC's find it next to impossible to match her...
