Searching for Jan *possible spoilers*

I have Jan in my party, but after a while he's summoned home to take care of something, involving his cousin or something. Now, i've done this quest before, and i escorted Jan home the first time, and proceeded from there on, no probs.

This time however, it came a little inconvenient, since i just travelled to Trademeet because someone poisoned Mazzy's sister, so i told Jan he should go ahead and we'd get there as soon as possible. He told me i could find him in his home in the slums, and i agreed to meet him there. When i arrived he wasn't there though. I was told that he might be selling turnips in the government district, but he wasn't there either. I've looked all over the place, but no Jan. I also checked the Copper Coronet, just to make sure, but nothing there either.

Can anyone enlighten me here ? Where did he go ?

 

IIRC, he should be in the second floor of his home. I'm not sure where else he could be though.
Are you sure you've searched all three levels of the house?

 

The second floor is where the sick girl is lying in her bed, right ?

Yes, i've checked them all, there's only the sick girl, and another woman standing in that room. he's not in the basement either. I'm stumped.

 

If he's not there I would say it's most likely a bug.
I presume your all patched and fix-packed up, yeah?

 

Well, the problem fixed itself... in a way. I went to do the Planar Sphere quest, and came back to check on Jan one more time. This time he was standing right in the middle room, and wanted to join up again. Not a word about his little quest, that one expired or something. I wonder what went wrong.
