    Shadow Weave is an alternative energy source for magic, created by Shar. (In my opinion, 'tis made to oppose the NG-Mystra-controlled weave users with some cohort of evil spellcasters). Shadow Weave is more powerful for necromantic, illusion and enchantment spells, and less useful for evocative and conjurative ones. Shadow Weave is mostly used by the inhabitants of the city of Shade.

    Simply, the Shadow Weave is the space between the normal weave. I'd play as a Shadow Adept, but I dislike mages, give me a sword anyday :)

    Well, they made stupid mystra so powerful (and she's not neutral as should be) that she could deny any BBEG (big bad evil guy) the use of magic.
    So they came up with the stupid shadow weave :rolleyes: :p
