I got another question. does ' the NO's dying' in the game influence the number of shadows he encounters in the fortress at the end? somehow I came to the understanding that each death causes another shadow. just wanted to know if this also affects the shadows in the game (so if 10 'deaths' occur, there are 10 more shadows in that keep to hunt the NO.

I avoid saving any parts of game where NO was 'killed', but there are some places where it is intended or required to die.

[IMG] To be fair, I've never really noticed a difference between me playing my paranoid-doesn't-look-twice-at-anything-hostile and lets-ask-that-abashai-directions approach.

Even the walkthroughs saying if you die at the fortress you can't get friends back doesn't seem to kick in for me, I have the 2disk version, patched and only very recently modded a bit.

well your friends you can resurrect at the fortress if you like.

that wasn't my question though. :) I wasn't bothering to run back to rest in the modron maze and died a few times instead (so I had just one way to go back to the wizard). I was wondering if that triggered more shadows in the fortress. maybe a weird question that does not matter really, just interests me. if killing the ones that attack at night would reduce them.

[IMG] And I've never noticed a difference in the number of shadows no matter how many times I've died or how many I have killed.
