[IMG] I just had in mind to take the 9 th level mage spell shapechange into my sorcerer's repertoire. Those creatures, especially the mind flayer and the greater wolfwere are really cool and they have awesome abilities. What do you guys think about this spell? Does it worth to take into the repertoire or not?

I've always found it fun. The mind flayer gets a psionic blast, good for stunning multiple enemies just like that. The iron golem is a big creature, (good and bad depending on where you try to go, ha the tables have been turned) also those iron golems have a average constitution so don't be surprised if your hp actually go down a little when shapechanged into one of those. It's just preference I guess. I like it.

i think it is great. i save it for when my mage is out of spells. kinda turns you into a fighter for a while. plus, adds alot of depth to your character.

Not to mention that the Illithid's psionic blast is probably the best hold/stun causing spell/effect in the game.

this spell comes too late to be of any use. If only it were on the 8th level...As it is, don't bother.

Too bad the spell doesn't work like in PnP... Where you can change into *anything* :p

It may be useful if you are soloing but you havemore use of almost every other 9th level spell. Or well timestop and chain contingency is almost the only really good 9th level spells in the game.
