My favorite class is a fighter -> druid. It is the first class I completed SoA with. I have done berserker/druid and kensai/druid. I am contemplating another run through with a shapechanger. I have never played a shapechanger before.

Is there an advantage to dualing to a fighter. I'd wait until lvl 15. Druids aren't real druids until then. :) Could a shapeshifter in a party even do this without having to play half of TOB as a fighter? Is a plain shapeshifter any good in TOB? In GW will he even hit (+4 or whatever is needed later in game)?

[IMG] In a party any class is easy enough  Playing with a shapeshifter is pretty fun. Not tried dualling to fighter though I must admit. Would take a very long time to get to the point where Druid is unlocked again. May have to grind a bit in an area with constantly spawning enemies. :bad:

    Should be manageable though.

I think druid 15 --> fighter would take a very long time to get the druid abilities back. This may only be viable with a very small party (or solo). I think the shapeshifter is powerful enough without dualling -- especially when you hit the greater werewolf (along with the slayer right after that). By the time you are facing the powerful enemies, your spells will be the most powerful part of the druid -- you can still tear into the minions of the other Bhaalspawn with your claws, but the boss fights will typically be decided by the spells you cast.

There are a couple of other options:

    1. Create a fighter/druid mulitclass and SK in the shapeshifter kit (very powerful).

    2. Add the Improved Shapeshifter Mod (even more powerful).

I have never used a shapeshifter and not sure how they progress (werewolf) outside of normal Druid progression. They never get above +3 claws, correct? So, for mid-end SoA they can be good tanks, but later in TOB that can't hit the big baddies, so they are simply used for spells?

Wes's mod seems way overpowered. However the refinements seems more appropriate, but the description doesn't detail much. Are there any other shapeshifter mods I should consider?
