There's a scimitar somewhere in the game called "Shazzellim". Now, it doesn't strike me a very useful item because it has a +1 enchantment with instant kill against bards. The enemy bards that you encounter are, hmm, let me see, well, no-one actually. My question, and it's simple curiosity, is this: where is it? Presumably it can be found as there's a Baldurdash fix that corrects its damage, but I've never found it.

[IMG] I beleive Dermin is a Bard. I was surfin through Shadowkeeper just a couple hours ago after I read one of your posts in which you notified that you can see what people like the girl in the Temple Ruins have on her! And I remember looking over Dermin, and he's a bard!

So if you wanna instantly kill him for like 4000 xp....... :D

The bard-killin' scimitar is possessed by none other than Elhan. If you attack him, though, I doubt you'll be able to enjoy the fruits of your labors.

Most Harpers are bards, like Dermin.

No indeed. When I read the reply, I needed a reminder of who Elhan is. For anyone else who does not instantly recognize the name, Elhan is the Elven general who leads you to Suldenssellar. Attacking him is instant death. So is looking at him in a funny way.

Even though I generally play a good party, I still can't stand Elhan for the high-handed way he treats the PC, and no matter how rude you are you still have to deal with him. In one of the early ideas for the BG2 plot Elhan was going to be a Bhaalspawn, which may explain why he's such an... umm... unfriendly person.
