Should I use this cheat?

[IMG] I was surfing the web one day, when I came across a cheat that lets you add a character to your party, when you put the cursor over them. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, this is the cheat:
CTRL+Q --> Makes the creature at the mouse cursor join the party.

Now, what I'm asking is will this work on NPCs that can join your party (i.e. Imoen, Nalia, Mazzy, etc.)? If I can, will adding more NPCs to my party while my party is already full (I already have six characters) cause the game (or my computer  ) to crash? I really need to know before using this cheat.

You can't have more than 6 characters.

You must let one of your characters go if you already have six.

It might be interesting walking around with a Dragon in your party btw... :D

I can't remember the exact parameters of the cheat you mention.
However, sometimes description texts are vague and 'join party' might mean that you gain control of the creature and that's it. I'm not sure if this is the case here.
Regardless, it's a fact that you can control many creatures at the same time (but these are not in your party).

[IMG] Ctrl + Q makes the selected creature join your party. As there cannot be more than six characters in your part at any one time you must kick someone out if you wish to Ctrl + Q more than five other characters.

Bear in mind that large characters might find travelling hard and that if you Q important characters their dialogues and scripts are overridden by the Multi-Player Character dialogues. This means no more quests and if you kick them they leave for good.

Having a Beastmaster and some wildlife in your party can be amusing though ;)

No, it's not...trust me, I've tried it. Some areas in the game are not coded quite right, so even though you're outdoors, the insanely large dragon can’t move an inch since the area was coded wrong. I noticed this in a number of different areas. Also, if you use the Staff of Elemental Mastery (it's from the Item Upgrade mod) and summon the elementals, there are many areas where only the fire elemental can move since the earth and air elementals are coded too "tall" for a lot of areas. :bang: :rolling:

For those still tempted by controlling a dragon: you can not use the creature's breath at all (no mass destruction).
