Siege camp not accessible

Been there, killed them, can't go further. The old witch got her hearts and met her boss in Hell, but Siege Camp is not accessible for me, it's greyed out. Nothing to do in Yaga Shura's lands, nothind to do in pocket plane, nothing special happens when I go back to Saradush. Needless to say, Melissan is not there. What might suck?

So, you've given the hearts to his mother to make him mortal, killed Yaga-Shura and taken to the pocket plane but can't get back?

When you went into the camp after you killed his mother did you get a little video saying Saradush had fallen?

No, because i think that little video is triggered by actually 'entering' the siege camp.

I simply cant enter it, its greyed out

I think it must be an unwanted side effect to one of the mods i have put on... a full reinstallation is required i think.

That in its self leads to another question: If I back up my saves, find that the cause of the problem is a mod and get rid of it, will the saved game be fixed, or is it corrupted? What do you think?

 

if you uninstal BG2 the saved games stay intact.

Reinstalling keps the games and mods are removed - unless you are in an area that was put in by the mod then you should be fine.

 

Hmm... It's been solved. I thought I should try the North Forest whence I moved to the temple first time I went there. It didn't work. I assumed I had done everything possible there. However, Baronius told me I could try the very Western edge of that map, that is where you end up after leaving Saraduch with the help of your pocket plane. It worked. I suppose it's a bug since there's absolutely no reason why Siege Camp should be accessible only from there. Nothing to do with difficulty, nothing to do with game balance, nothing to do with storyline, it's just time consuming and simply boring.

That isn't a bug. The North Forest must be completed before you go to the Siege Camp. It sort of introduces you to Yaga-Shura's army. I'd recommend always doing it upon leaving Saradush, as it's much easier going forward than backward.

EDIT-Sorry I misread that. Yeah, your situation is a bug as the siege camp should be accessible from anywhere so long as you've completed the North Forest. I usually return to the pocket plane right after killing his mother then use that to go to the siege camp.
