I just joined this forum so I don't know whether this had been discussed. Pardon me if this was posted b4 :p

In Baldur's Gate, remember there's a quest to rescue a nymph away from Ramazith's colleague, Ragefast. The perfect way of solving will be rescuing the nymph from Ragefast first and bring to Ramazith. Then keep talking in suspecious tones to Ramazith and eventually he'll attack you. This is not a simple battle as we had to fight monsters from his tower levels b4 reaching him at the top of his tower.

The reward will be a book of wisdom + 1 (or others, not quite remember). And when talking to the nymph, we got 2000 Exp and her hair to be made into a Protection Cloak + 2.

Now the catch is: after talking to the nymph, she'll cast dimension door to exit. Pause at this time, then click on her to talk to her again. Amazingly, the conversation will repeat and after that we got another 2000 exp. Note that after that she'll restart to cast dimension door. This means that we'll get 2000 exp each time we talk to her until we meet the exp cap!

This provides a way to levelup 'legally' provided you don't like trainers or editors :)

Just a type-error I suppose, it's indeed a Cloak that increases Charisma by 2 and gives a charm person once a day. A same cloak like this one can be get in the first days of the game, when pickpocketing it from Algernon, who's on the 2nd floor of the Fieldpost Inn, Beregost.

    @ Captain Spud:
I am quite sure that there are not more than three books of wisdom in the game + expansion. Enough is enough ;) I agree, seems they wanted you to become a cleric (or at least dual-class to one in BG2).

[IMG] Kind of a cheesy way to level-up doncha think? I don't think I'd call taking advantage of game-bugs "legal" :(

If you spend your time exploiting a flaw in the game why not simply use an editor and boost your characters to whatever level you wish? It's faster and as legal as your way.

i used to give myself as many girdle of piercings as i could carry and keep talking to Ushley in Friendly Arm Inn...i now look back and see how stupid that was...

Edit: Now i have found that Algernon's cloak has a long range charm but the Nymph's cloak has a very short range effect, almost touching...maybe its just my eyes...

I agree it's faster to use editors. Just pointing out this bugs to share with everyone :)
