I think this may be borderline awesome. There's some DLC slated for the next month that will allow you to interface Skyrim with your Kinect, so XBox only.

At first I thought this was insane - how can you swing a sword or cast a spell or fire an arrow with any accuracy using the Kinect? I mean, I have one, and it is pretty good at recognizing body movement, but nowhere near the super accurate precision movements you'd need for this.

But it's not what you'd think. It's utilizing the voice recognition software in the Kinect (which I did not know Kinect even possessed). It allows for over 200 audio commands that you can speak and have your character perform - including all the dragon shouts.

Speaking in dragon in one's own living room. Like I said - possibly kinda awesome.

So.. not only is Youtube flooded with fus-ro-dah jokes, now I get to hear them in any Kinect-ridden living room nearby?

Sounds awesome. In both the good and the bad way at the same time.

Yeah the kinect integration is mainly for voice commands like opening the map issuing commands to a follow and use even dragon shouts and even sorting the inventory.

I have a hard time believing that it would ever work like that.

Well, it's an "Official" trailer, so I'm inclined to think that it would. I already have the Kinect, so it's not like I won't try it out... Anyway, I shouldn't have to wait too long. The planned release date was sometime the week of April 23rd, which is obviously this week.

It may be intended to work like that but voice recognition software does not have the most impressive track record.
