I had a chance to try the new version of Windows mobile, dubbed Windows Phone 7, I also got to play with BlackBerry OS 6, and I now own an Android phone... the beautiful Motorola i1.

As much as I hate MS, Windows Phone 7 is a GREAT replacement for Windows Mobile 5 and 6. There are some rough edges to polish, but for the M$ lover, it's a no-brainer. Connectivity with Office, Xbox Live and all the other M$ garbage is good, and if that's your thing, good. A definitive upgrade versus WM 5 & 6. I played with the LG Optimus 7, and for M$ garbage, it's ain't that bad.

BlackBerryOS6 is also a major improvement, but to be able to thrive in the smartphone market, RIM needs to make BlackBerryOS go through a... radical change. I played with the BlackBerry Torch, and no doubt, it's a solid phone all around, but compared to Android, it feels like the stone age.

I admit, at first, I was not a fan of Android, and I openly questioned the necessity of the platform. However... after playing with the Droid, Droid 2 and the Droid X, Android started to grow on me... then I got myself a Android phone of my own, the Motorola i1, like I said, a cross between a semi-rugged iDEN phone and Android.

Android, BlackBerryOS, Windows Phone 7... Android is growing at a FRANTIC rate, and the fact it's open-source means a more widespread adoption. Look at how many manufacturers make Android phones... Motorola, LG, Samsung, HTC, amongst many others. This gives Android a distinct advantage, as BlackBerryOS, Windows Phone 7 and iTrash are all proprietary platforms.

In the end? The combined threat of Android, BlackBerryOS and Windows Phone 7 will wipe the floor with Steve Jobs' ass.

[Expletive] Apple. And [expletive] M$, too. Ironic that M$ makes a better smartphone OS than the idiots at Apple who have their heads so far up their asses it's a wonder they don't die from suffocation. Want music on an iTrash? Fine, you're locking yourself into Apple's proprietary format. Me, I just drag and drop songs on my memory card, and that's it... no dealing with the stinking garbage called iTrash.

Windows Phone 7 is similar to this regard, in the form of syncing with Windows Media, and yet again, DRM isn't an issue.

BlackBerry OS? Drag and drop, that's it.

There is nothing about the iTrash that Android, BBOS6 or WP7 can't do. Unfortunately, Apple will continue to thrive because of all the stupid brainwashed iDrones.

My recommendation for a smartphone OS? If you need connectivity with M$ products, WP7 is only going to become better as the platform stabilizes and matures. If email is your primary focus, BlackBerryOS is still the best, although Android does email quite well too.

The bottom line: Android, BBOS and WP7 all wipe the floor with Apple's ass.
