So what does the best NPC party look like?

In my party I had: Keldorn, Nalia, Valygar (replaced with Sarevok), Jaheira (replaced with Korgan) and of course Viconia :)

Keldorn - I kept him solely because he is the only character in the game that can wield Carsomyr and this weapon was really useful (esp. in BG being the only +5 wep. besides Staff of the Magi). His True sight ability also came in handy more than once. Generally however this guy really pissed me off quite often and were it not for ShadowKeeper he attacked Vicionia after I left Asylum.

Nalia - not good but I cheated her stats and this ring of her is cool. Not worth keeping without cheats however. I just kept her for some time and she knew quite a few spells and I simply didn't want to change to Edwin with nearly clean wizard's book.

Valygar - Good with bows and dual wielding Katanas. I replaced him with Sarevok in ToB because enemies were too powerful to be just shot at and Sarevok is better in melee.

Sarevok - It was a good thing to join him. I don't know how he does it but sometimes he hits his opponents for 200 damage. Even though I did not cheat his stats in any way. Besides he has one of the best portraits in the game.

Jeheira - It bothered me that she advanced so slowly. Besides I had no much use for druid spells.

Korgan - this guy rocks. Especially when he achieved grand mastery in hammers and 3 stars in dual wield. I gave him Crom Feyr and Axe of Unyielding +5. Perhaps most powerful warrior in my team. Sometimes I think my own char would have trouble beating him.

Viconia - Obvious reasons for joining her:p But seriously best cleric in game and properly equipped she's quite a good warrior. Not for very strong enemies of course but generally this girl knows how to take care of herself. And she has some great lines to say.

So it's my team. Playing again I think I'll throw out Nalia and Keldorn (plenty of +5 wep. in ToB) and replace them with Edwin and Jan (Yoshimo is a better thief but Edwin can't cast divination magic which means no true sight and besides I hate this bastard traitor).

So in a best team (in my opinion at least) I would have no good aligned chars, neutral at best. Wonder whether they would stay while I would be running all those do-gooder's errands and my rep would be reaching 20.

Overall it seems that evil isn't good. It's better :D

saravok does 200 damage through Deathbringer assault, if you read his biography it tells you that he was trained in the art of Deathbringing using fear to stun opponents or just attacking them with one massive blow. I like Jan or Imoen over Nalia. Imoen is really good but her pick lock's is pathetic

    my favorite party is:
    me-Human sorcerer
    Viconia-the woman I love
    Keldorn-only paladin
Korgan-best fighter, rocks with crom and runehammer
Imoen-backup mage and good thief with amulet of master harper
    Minsc-Boo rules

by the way, how can Yoshimo be in your party in ToB, isn't he dead ?

What exactly is wrong with Imoen's lockpicking. 95 isn't bad at all, and she rarely messes up. And for those special occasions, she does have the ring of lock picks. And besides for those very rare occasions she can't pick a lock, she does always keep one knock spell memorized.

Boo rules but I hate Minsc comments. They're funny the first time you hear them but then they are simply too frequent too loud and extremely annying. Just like Keldorn's. BTW I wanna play BG2 again. whom do you suggest in Keldorn's place? I thought of Haer'Dalis or Muzzy (but I don't know how she would react to such an evil aligned party). Or perhaps Valygar?

Due to varioues reasons (mainly connection problems) I posted the same topic again. Don' t get annoyed please but rather give me admin's email so that I could ask him to delete that clone. When I press 'contact us' button my email client opens but no address pops up.
