In the past, soap opera's have had some interesting (and quite hilarious) storylines: Who shot Phil Mitchell? Is Roy Cropper's baby really his? and Ken Barlow - why?

I must say that I've never really watched soaps, but sometimes, when I'm bored, nothing's happening on SP, I sit down with a jar of pickled onions and dabble in the Dark Art of the Soap Opera.

The thing is, I'm suprised at how many outrageous going's ons can happen in one square/street/village.

Anyway, does anyone have any-one have any theories at what could happen soon in any of the soaps?

(Note: this thread is supposed to be light hearted, so the more obscene and unrealistic the better. Also, I understand that really only british folk may be able to understand most of the above post, but I hope you get the general idea. :) )

Well, we only get Days, Y&R, B&B (an Aussie band actually wrote a song about it, I have the song on CD!) and Passions as far as 'real' soaps go, plus a few of our own like Neighbours and Home & Away.

The only one I ever watched whole episodes of was Days about 9 years ago when doing my HSC and as far as I know we're about 2 years behind the USA but slowly catching up, anyway, I predict that Victor (who just returned to our screens) and Hope/Gina (is that right?) will have a secret love child which will be raised by Sean D (sp?) and Bo in a cabin in the woods of Canada.

I haven't watched soaps in a very long time but I imagine that soon, in some un-named soap-opera, someone will catch a thief sculking around in their mansion who turns out to be their spouses long-lost daughter from a teenage pregnancy that was never talked about because of the strict upbringing of that spouse. This long lost daughter (who is very poor and beautiful) will catch the eye of some evil yet wildly attractive rich man who decides to seduce her to get back at her newly discovered parents.

I recall my mom watching B&B when I was a kid... I had to tape Wednesday's episode because she had to be absent during that time. I admmit, I had a brief period of soap-watching when I was 9 or so...

I don't realy care for soaps. My life is soap opera enough, with all the half-siblings, bankrupcies (how do you spell that anyway?) paternity tests and millionaire aunts. :/
