I've tried my hand at soloing the game and sofar so good, but I just can't get past the improved (patched) Abazigal. The main problem is that I can't deal enough damage to kill him when in dragonform. He seems to have a std. 67% protection from magical damage and my Planeters and Mord. swords are just too shortlived to make much of a difference.
Does anyone know how to take him out?

Also the Maze spells are rather anoying as te game seems to think I'm dead when mazed.
Is there a patch to fix this?

    Many thanks!

My first thought too, though I refrained. :)

Are you sure you've been mazed and not imprisoned? I don't recall the game considering me dead if mazed but if you get imprisoned, the game considers you dead.

In solo if it mazes you, you will die...
Considered to do a mod to this...

About Maze: cast spell "Spell Immunity:Abjuration" and you won't be affected by it, or just cheat to give you the immunity ;)

Maze isn't an abjuration spell; it's a conjuration spell. Imprisonment is an abjuration spell. Hadn't thought of spell immunity, though I have mixed feelings about it.

About the maze problem, I had a similar problem: when I solo, if I get charmed, I die.

I guess if the game thinks that you are down to zero characters, you're dead. Charmed any way, you lose that character for a time, same with maze. Confusion and the like aren't the same, however, because they don't take the character away.

Charm: if soloing, your party goes down to zero, effectively killing you.
Maze: same idea, that character is treated as if imprisoned, and party goes to zero.
Confusion, Fear, etc: not the same, you keep the character, but he is walking around stupidly or terrified.

Ah well, just another stupid glitch to add to the three-mile long list.... :(
