Yes, monks can benefit from bracers, but there are very few unless you make them yourself. The ywon't be of any use to those other classes, unless they have really bad AC, because allthough they do stack with dex/wis bonus to AC, they don't stack with armour.

Any class can use gloves and gauntlets with no penalties (no benefits either, unless they're magic).

Everyone can wear elven chain (except druids), or any armour for that matter- there are only minimal disadvantages to wearing an armour you are not proficient with (unless you're a monk).

You are in luck however, as elven chain is classified as light, not medium, so can be worn by a ranger with no loss of abilities. Woot! The same applies to the rougue.

You can even give your mage elven chain - the spell fail chance is very low, depending on the colour, from 0% at red (I think), 5% at blue, 10% at purple, to 15% max at green. The AC you get from this will be worth it for your wizard, as you will never use the skills it detriments. You may fail a spell every so often, but if you want, you can always re-load.

    Have fun, and good luck.
