Just to let you know, I know nuts about computers. I've got some questions which are pretty stupid..

    1) I tried out the NWN demo and found that it lagged by quite a bit. As I plan on getting NWN by the end of this month, how do I like increase the computer's performance speed so it won't lag when I'm playing NWN??

    2) Do I have to purchase an entirely new video card if,say, I want to switch models? Or do I just download the driver from the internet??

    -- Thanks:)

[IMG] 1) Give us your computer's current specs and we can tell you if the lagging is normal because of say, poor specs. Click on the "My Computer" icon, then press Alt+Enter and it'll list which CPU and how much RAM you have. For the graphic card, go to Start / Run and type dxdiag and press the OK button. Under the "Display" tab it'll list your graphics card.

    2) Varying drivers can only improve performance of an existing model by a few percent at best. If your card is not up to the task of running a certain game, you have to replace it with a new card.

I'm rubbish with computers too. Try asking people in the FAI....there are some very clever people in there!

    We need more info.

Do as Tal says to find out the info on your videocard. You can actually find out what CPU you're running and how much RAM you have while you have the dxdiag window open, make note of that info...it is on the first page (the 'System' tab). :thumb: :rolling:
