Someone recommend me a good onling RPG

    I have been playing MMORPGS on and off lately, but for some reason I can never get that feeling I get when playing tabletop D&D.

    I recently was turned on to text-based games, and I am enjoying them lots. I guess they are more dedicated for hardcore and old school role-players. I recently found Gemstone IV, and love it, but hate to pay for play.

    I am looking for a great, free text based online RPG. I just signed up for Borderkeep beta. Has anyone heard of this? I saw it advertised on a banner and it looks like what I *may* be looking for. Anyone have any recommendations?

    The only one I have any still-relevant experience with is Materia Magica - which unfortunately does not involve much roleplaying (only a small amount of people RP)

    If you're looking for a PnP feel, maybe you should go seeking roleplaying chatrooms or such. Find a DM and a bunch of people and horrah! (bonus points if you use SP channels and forums :grin: )

    I have friends playing Ragnarok and Dragon Raga... but I don't. I'm sure a quick search on Google will give you their respective links. From what I heard, they are role playing, and are free games. However they are not text based, so you might have to download a bunch of stuff first, and their servers have down time.
