I'm a bit confused on a sorceres prime req. I always thought it was charisma but i just read somewhere that it is intelligence. :/. I think thats wrong. Can someone clear this up for me. One last question also. HOw does charisma effect a sorcerers casting ability?

In the standard D&D rules, a Sorcerer's prime requisite is supposed to be Charisma. He gains additional spells and spellcasting ability based on his Charisma. In the Baldur's Gate games, a Sorcerer really has no prime requisite, as nothing affects the amount of spells he can cast per day/spells learned. Intelligence is a factor only in the ability to cast from scrolls. Extremely low Intelligence (8 and below) will prohibit spells being cast from scrolls entirely. I would put points in Charisma, however, as this affects the amount of gold you have to spend on items (comes in handy with expensive items such as the Robe of Vecna). I rate the statistics like this:

    1: Charisma (store discounts)
    2: Dexterity (AC)
    3: Wisdom and Intelligence (Wish)
    4: Constitution (HP)
    5: Strength (relatively useless).

Well, have fun allocating your stats and I hope you get good INT and WIS for the sake of Wish.

    P.S.

The reason why sorcerers aren't implemented as they should be, is because BG2 is still a completely 2nd edition D&D game and only uses the new character classes from 3rd as optional classes, more like kits. The barbarian, monk and the sorcerer were all made to conform to the 2nd edition D&D rules, not 3rd.
