[IMG] Currently I have the tome & symbol of Amaunator, and I already did the quest, I was just wondering if they are of no use anymore, as the Shadow Dragon ward stone isnt ?? (already killed him).

    [IMG] Hi,

Nope they are off no use. I carried them all the way to the avatar of Amaunator you meet in the unseeing eye quest with my second party as I thought he might recognise them and give me some xp, no joy.

    Cheers,

    WittyNewt

[IMG] As everyone said, get rid of 'em. Or store them in a chest you won't forget about. I recommend Mae Var's strongbox.

Always a good idea. Any item I am not sure if I will need or not always gets stored in a chest or barrel somewhere; often that fish stand outside the Copper Coronet.

If you plan to continue in ToB, keep them.

I don't know if there is any usage for those there, and I bet noone ever checked it out.

There's no use for them in ToB either. Wouldn't make much sense for the game designers to require any items from BG2 when people can potentially play ToB only, with no chance to get those items.

[IMG] So Tal, you can then acquire all three pairs of pants if you play ToB only?
    :p :p :p

    [EDIT]
Of course they are not critical!
But there is always a possibility for some Easter Egg like with pants, at least IMHO.
But my comment up still stays - noone ever checked if those can be used anywhere in ToB. Just as Book of Kaza, Mekrath's Mirror and Jaheira romance item.

Those are not game-critical items in the least. Not to mention one pair of the pants is from BG1.

    EDIT:
None of those items are useful for anything else but their own quests in BG2. After they're done, you can dump them.
And that pants thing is the only easter egg in ToB. We'd know by now if there were any others.

I kept only the practical stuff like leftover stakes and holy water. I didn't know what to do with Bodhi's heart though... but I sincerely doubt that I'm to give it to a priest o Ilmater as well

My character is a Ranger, does she still need to lug around the ranger journals, etc from the Umar Hills quest? I've completed the Umar Hills and Temple Ruins quests.. but haven't even touched my Ranger cabin Stronghold..

  13. That means you're missing out quests, man. Get to it!

Oh, and you had better not gave the kids swords or booze...

Black Rose, no. Once a quest is over, all items associated with the quest can be dumped. This hold true 100% as far as I know. I can't think of one instance where you'd need any of such items later on.

    [IMG] Hi,

One thing I carried several times through from BG1 because I was certain it would be useful was the lock of kirinhales hair (sucubus in Durlags tower). It was a shame it wasn't, she did say she would remember me.... :D

    Minor spoiler/clue about bodhi's heart.

If you are in a romance bodhi's heart is useful. Read the vampire journals for clues.
