Spear of Withering +4 - Where is it?

    According to my handy dandy (non)Perfect Guide it should have been in the UnderDark/Ust'Natha.

    But I didn't find it there at all.

    Help please! :)

    Jaheira would like a +4 weapon before I take a shot at the DemiLich.

    One of the merchants in the Drow Bazaar sells the Spear.

    There is also a Bone Dagger +4 in the same Drow City, which you can get if you fall in with an Aboleth's demand.

    Incidentally, this is a SOA and not a TOB topic. I figured to get my piece in before it gets moved.

    I think you can buy it from one of the merchants as you enter Ust Natha. Or maybe try the treasure room in the Sanhuigan(sic) city?

    Edit @Beren -- My understanding is that if you have TOB installed, even if you are in the SoA portion of the story, you are to address your questions here, as TOB has some retroactive effects on some aspects of SoA.

    Just where exactly is this Drow Bazaar?

    The square when you first enter has the merchant that sells the spell scrolls. Is there another place?

    I think I killed them all anyway...

    How did I miss it? :(

    Depaara - you are most likely thinking of the Backbiter spear. That is in the Sahaugin treasury. It's sold by one of the Ust'Natha merchants. He should be in the same "circle" as the merchant that sells scrolls.

    But, hey, if you killed 'em all, too bad. Don't recall of another +4 spear in SoA.

    Ahhhhrrrggg! How could I forget them! :mad:

    I loaded from an archive save right before I cleaned out the Drow City. I found the two item Merchants! I remember them going in, but forgot to loot them going out. :cry:

    You can even steal from them!

    Amulet of 10% Magic Res.
    Sentinal (+4 shield)
    Fire Tooth
    Staff of Earth
    Spear of Withering
    Rod of Smiting
    Robe of Evil Magi (don't need)

    So many goodies I missed!
    Oh well...
    CTRL/SpaceBar cheat will get a workout! :lol:
    I'll deduct 30,000 GP with Shadow Keeper and "pretend" I bought them. ;)

    Beren, just on a note, off topic. Aces made a point about SoA items, but this forum is designed to talk about SoA, if you have ToB installed. The forums are really BG2:SoA and BG2:SoA+ToB. So if he has ToB, then he didn't post in the wrong forum at all.
