Well I am pretty excited about this movie as I was a big fan of the comic book as a kid (stopped though to the severe price raise on comic books). I wont open here until sometime early june :( so I am wanting to get some feedback here.
Saw a scene on Letterman recently and it didnt look natural (I know it isnt supposed to look natural but I got a very plastic and artificial feeling). Would anyone that have seen the movie give me your thoughts? Most anything would be interesting, most of my attention have been aimed at AotC but I have been looking forward towards Spiderman too, havent heard as much about it though.
So lets get some reviews or even thoughts!

i just watched it last week. i enjoyed it. it may not be the best but it is worth it and i don't mind watching it again.

i never really know the comic book version of the story but i feel that it did not deviate from it so much. and i think that the web shooting ability implemented was cool (i'm not gonna elaborate on this as it might spoil your excitement a bit - that is if you still don't know).

if you are a special effects kind'a guy, well there are some scenes that looks a bit awkward or unatural with respect to a spider-man movie but most are done very well. i particularly think the green goblin's fx were great.

The dialogue suffered greatly, but the movie was well-cast, and the special effects were pretty well done -- in contrast to what I was expecting from the previews. Especially fun was watching Peter Parker learn about his new powers and the evolution of his costume. Oh, and the way they portrayed him swinging from web to web (almost in free fall instead of anything under control) was cool too.

Something thats been bothering me. Who makes the superhero custumes for these guys in the movies? I don't think it would be too difficult to track down what vendors make rubber body suits. :p

On a side note, Peter Parker made his own custume in the comic books, I think.

[IMG] Spider-man was a good movie. It wasn't the best thing ever, but if you go into the theater expecting a comic book that is what you will get. The for Peter Parker is rather good, even is the Spider-man section have great action but little story power. The Green Goblin is a OK villian. I've always been a big fan of villians they really make a movie in my opinion.

[IMG] Willam Defoe as the goblin was a good choice, and so was the guy playing Spiderman. I liked it a lot, never been a comics follower, but a pretty good job over all. It also leaves it open for a sequel, maybe... And yeah, the freefall style web swinging was totally cool.

I thought that the movie was great!

I've already seen it twice. The special effects were good...sometimes it turned plasticky. Tobey, Willem, and Kirsten were fabulous but the story line deviated from the comics somewhat.

    Overall, I'd give it a B+.
