I love creation character screen planning my best char yet ;) So i noticed how powerful Deep Gnomes look
    Theyt get:

    +2 to dexterity
    +2 to wisdom
+spell resistance of 11 +1 per level of char.
+4 to dodge against all creatures
    mirrored image 1/day
    invinsibility 1/day
    blur 1/day
    Non-detection
+2 racial bonus to all saving throws
    Darkvision

    penalyties
    -2 to strenght
    -4 to charisma
    +3 to level adjustment
and some minor things as well ;) .
I would love to have such a rase
Strenght penalty doesnt do much (not a fighter type). Charisma penalty is easily solved with another leader.
All that is difficult is level adjustment :(

Could somebody explain what excatly that is??

Is there any way to chane appearance of your character??

The +3 level adjustment means the character is 3 levels higher when determining how much experience is required to level up. So your L1 Deep Gnome is considered L4 and so needs to get 10000 XP to reach level 2.

BTA, its not as bad as you make it out to be... They are given enough XP to level up to lvl2 at the same time as everyone else in the party. So its not really bad, and they start catching up about level 10 or so(not in levels, but in power).

    1.
You can change the colors jsut like in other IE games.

    2.
Stat increases come at every 4 levels, you get to add 1 point to any stat of your choice.

    3.
There are items that will raise your stats a certain amount of points.

Whops i didn't tell exactly what with appearance :o
I meant rase appearance - to look like a elf when being a gnome

What's the level limit??? Also doest mean +3level modifier that you end 3 levels lover than everybody else??

I meant items that would put str and cha to certain value(stats i skimped out ;) )

Appearance like that can not be changed yet. Some editor will come out sometime, and youll probably be able to use that.

Level limit for that character would be level 27.

Items that raise your stats in 3e, do not raise them to a certain value, the raise them a certain number of points.

Not really, when you start the game, ECL races start with enough XP so that they will level up to the next level at the same time as the other characters in your party.

    OMG, Svirf Monks ownzer.

20 wis + 20 Dex + 4AC racial bonus = 24 AC at level 1, NAKED! (now throw level 1 mage armor on him)

He has low HPs and doesnt hit as often as Id like becuase of his low con and str (wanted to max ac), but also becuase he is about 3 levels less than everyone else. Even so, he is always the last one standing for quite a while after everyone else in my party has been killed.

Im playing now with a svirf monk, and although he doesnt nearly match the damage output of my half-orc barb (They are ECL 6 this might change when my monk has gained a few more levels), I never need to heal him. Even if I do need to heal him I use like one potion and he is fully healed. He has absurdly good saves and magic resistance to boot ( I watched an orc shaman cast his full retinue of spells at him to only get a few magic missiles past the saves and resists ). Im hoping that the monk MR will add to the innate racial MR to make him one mean invincible little dark dood.

And e has those cool innate abilitys mirror image, blur, invinsibility
Also my gnome(druid) wears the standard armor(studden leather) and has more AC than my most heavily armored fighters wearing half-plates
He realy makes a ideal monk IMHO. Or any guyat the front line :)
