    There are many wooden contructions at the eastern part (middle of the bridge if I remember correctly) of the area. There are several doors that are locked and/or protected by traps. There is one door which will lead to these very powerful creatures (including the mage who has the Staff) if you possess a rogue stone. Be careful, the battle may be hard!

    Go to towards the temple, south of the temple is a bunch of doors, get a thief to find traps and you will find it. You must be high level; I favor a protection from magic scroll and negative plane protection with one warrior. Don’t forget the rogue stone.

    This is probably the 2nd* hardest fight in SoA, especially with a low level party. So make sure you know what your doing and have a good, high level party.

    * The hardest IMO being the nest of Beholders and Elder Orbs in the Underdark. They muck fe off right bad!

    This might help in the "Rogue" battle: try to stay out (after you talked to the Lich, run out and if you are lucky, only the lich will come after you, and you can deal with the lich first), and lure them in lesser groups (1 creature is the best, but if it is not possible, 2 is still better than allow all of them to attack you).
    If you have Cloak of Mirroring and/or the Shield of Balduran, it should not be a big problem. Use Invisibility-providing spells on your other party members.

    even with the shield it's difficult, don't use it on your main character and have scrolls of freedom, because an elder orb will cast imprisonment on you!!!

    I always liked protection from undead in this fight. The vampire and lich will ingnore you while you kick the beholder and mage (the fighter is unamred so not a great threat) in several places until they fall over. The beholder is fairly easy with the shield of balduran eand the mage you just dispel her protection from evil and her own summon will kill her.

    It's near the Tanner house, behind a trapped door which only can be entered with a rogue stone. Ah, prepare for a TOUGH fight.
