    [​IMG] OK IM NOT SURE WHATS HAPPENED! OR IF IN FACT IF THIS IS A GOOD THING.BUT I SPENT A LOT OF GOLD ON GOOD ARCMAGI (OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT)
    AND THEN T DISAPEARES WHEN I GO TO FIGHT THE SALVE LORDS (IN THE TEMPLE DISTRICT)BUT MY STAFF OF FIRE IS LEFT WITH 6000000 OR SO FIRE ELEMENTAL SOMONINGS .GREAT YOU MAY SAY TAKE IT AND RUN!NOT SO FOR TO MY DISGUST MY CHARISMA HAD BEEN REDUCED FROM 19 TO 12!I HAD SPENT A LOT OF TIME ON THIS CHARICTER AS IT WAS FROM BG1 SO STARTING AGAIN WAS NOT AN OPTION.NOT HAPPY WITH THIS THE BLOODY THING REMOVES MY FIRMILIAR FROM THE GAME!

    i think you need to install the patch... then use shadow keeper to reset everything back to normal if you cant reload to just before that battle.

    Your items vanished because of the Nishruu you fought. It drains items of their charges and if you don't have the patch installed, it drains all magical items. The Nishruu is only supposed to drain magical items with charges.

    The reason your Staff of Summon Fire Elemental has so many charges is because the Nishruu drained your staff enough that it cycled over to 65535. This in turn creates a high number of charges on your staff.

    Install the BG2 patch Bioware put out and this will solve your problem. Then redo the battle.

    [​IMG] When I first played a fighter-mage I also had a familiar. Late in the game he stole my eleven chain +4, which was quite funny for I didn´t notice until I fought the next time.
    I´ll never consider to summon one again, they suck and are rarely usefull.

    You can be all the mages I believe...maybe not a diviner... A requirement is that your main character is the one who's summoning the familiar, as he is the only one allowed a familiar.
