[IMG] Anyone have any thoughts on this show? I kind of like it...I've been watching it since it first came on. I wish they'd get into some of the original series conflicts, like how the war between the Klingons and the Federation starts and the Romulans, rather than introducing all this new crap like the temporal cold war, and the Xindi.

Does anyone else watch this show? If so, what do you think?

I used to work for UPN and designed a billboard in Houston for the show about a month before it came out. It was cool because UPN corporate gave me access to all these top-secret images from the show that hadn't been released yet.

I thought the premise of the show was a really cool idea. The first season was interesting, but didn't blow my socks off. The plots are getting a lot more actiony now, which is good. I hardly ever get to watch it though. Never home during prime time. :(

Oh yeah...and T'Pol (Jolene Blalock) is rather tasty, no? :D

[IMG] It's funny, when I see her on the show as a Vulcan, I think she's hot...When I've seen her interviewed...I don't think she's all that attractive. Plus, IRL she's a blonde...But I think she looks better as a brunette.

[IMG] I did...And it still didn't impress me...She looks hooter in the pointy ears and brunette wig getting decontaminated after an away mission...

    LMAO! Hooter indeed!

I've watched it since it started, and I like it quite a bit. All the Treks IMO, have ripened with age; getting better as the seasons go by.

I would also like to see more Trek historical stuff rather than this all-new business, but the new stuff is pretty interesting. It seems so far like they chose this past setting merely to limit the technology somewhat and make the crew's attitudes more adversarial rather than to explore what happened in the past to make the future the way it is.

it's definitely worth watching just because of Jolene Blalock, and for me she is absolutely amazing as a Vulcan, and just another hot girl as an earthling. unfortunately, this is all I have to say about the show.

    long live the :borg:

It's the true sign of a trekkie/geek when you start fantasizing over a Vulcan.
Actually, seeing Patrick Stewart (Jean Luc Picard) dancing to "The Mamba" in Nemesis (I think) kinda disturbed me.

Well, I guess she's okay...if you care for silicon implants. She's to artificial for my taste.

I have seen the first few episodes (Holland is very far behind on the USA), and they were pretty good. Of course there are all sorts of things like the appearance of klingons, the revolutionary design of the Enterprise, etcetera, which aren't like TOS, but I'm not bothered by this very much (even though I consider myself a real trekkie). I guess they just gave a more realistic view at the future, with all sorts of technology, then they could ever have done with TOS. I do think however that the creators Berman and Braga should have payed a bit more attention to the timeline on other issues, and not let races like the ferengi and the borg come into the series, but I'll make a final opinion about that when I have seen those episodes too.

And Jolene Blalock does indeed look hotter with vulcan ears, than she does in real life. Like Sir Bel, she didn't even impress me much with her pictures in Maxim.

Meh. Enterprise is my second least favourite Star Trek series, with DS9 being the worst. I like the new theme song with that extra beat or whatever, but the one thing that I hate is this seemingly never-ending theme for the whole season. Not very good as far as Star Trek is concerned, but still a decent show.

See...That's funny...If I could rank them, Here is my series rankings:

    Star Trek: The Next Generation
Star Trek (original) tied with DS-9 (It just grew on me)
    Enterprise
Voyager (Although I liked Parris & Torres...I thought the series was crap)

[IMG] Nope...The Captain of this Enterprise is Archer. Played by Scott Bakula. It's a relatively new series, started about 2 years ago.

Better than *some* of the other series -like DS9 or (purely crappy) Voyager. Still, NG is the best. :)

Man, everyone I know is the opposite of me. I hated DS9, and one of my favourite non-cartoon shows ever is Voyager!

BTW my favourite show ever is either Family Guy, Futurama, or Clone High.

Hello. I'm back, after not posting for a few months due to my life getting turned inside out. You know, college and all that.

    Anyway...

I think whoever is in charge of costumes for Enterprise made a good decision at the beginning of the current season.

T'pol is pretty hot (although IMO, she seems to be constantly annoyed, as opposed to emotionally neutral) but that grey thing she wore for the first two seasons was terrible! I mean, you don't really think about the other's clothes, because they always wear their Starfleet uniforms. But she always chose to wear that blotchy grey thing. I think she looks much better in the lighter colours her clothes are now.

Something was pointed out to me recently.
One thing that's probably a big part of the problem with Enterprise is that the show on a whole is too serious. I mean, the other series had their fair share of drama, sure, but they broke it up occasionally with a silly/funny episode, like the Captain Proton episodes of Voyager where even the orchestra in the background sounds Flash Gordon-ish. Or the tribbles. Whatever. My point is, they would have a fun episode once in a while. Enterprise is always danger danger danger, battle battle battle, and now Archer has become rather like Ahab with Moby Dick. In other words, the show needs to lighten up.

Incedentally, I noticed about two weeks ago that the show's title sequence had changed from 'Enterprise' to 'Star Trek: Enterprise'. Hmm. Wonder what's that all about.
