What are some good locations to stash items inside the city proper? My main concern is a map wipe or some other event causing me to lose all my sweet-sweet treasure. Hey...I may never use the Gauntlets of Squirrel Strength, but that doesn't mean I want to sell them either...

So which of the city maps would be best?

IMHO, the most safest place to stash your goods is your own Keep. That is the only place where there wont be an area wipe.
    If that answers your questions.

But in the case of the SoA to ToB conversion, I think that the [snip] is the only place to be in since it will still be there despite the changes.

I store items in the boxes at the Copper Coronet. And since there are at least two, you may also sort them (quest items/magical items). Never lost one, still there even after the longest journeys (won't spoil, you know what I mean). Don't forget them there once you are in endgame (final Ircenicus, of course), because you can't come back!

My goodies always get secreted away in Waukeens Promenade. There is an ornament alcove inside the arena, two stairs above the entrance to Adventurers Mart. Nosey peasants, who might fiddle with my stuff, never seem to go up there. :D

I always use the Adventurers Mart. There are many shelves so you can store different types of things on diff shelves. And its not much of a pain to go there since alot of trips to the city involve a visit here.

Outside the Copper Coronet (as mentioned above).

There's also a barrel (or crate, I'm not sure which) just north of the entrance to Cromwell's shop that is good to stash items you might use for upgrade purposes.

Inside the CC is a good place. It lies central, and you come by everytime you're in Athkatla(sp?) anyway.

Another suggestion could be some stash in the City Gates. Small area, quick to load :D

I use the Copper Coronet too. Sometimes outside, sometimes inside. I usually line up the dropped NPC's there too so if anyone doesn't have a particular mage spell, I can stash the scrolls nearby and get them to scribe the scrolls in one go without expending too many potions of genius.

Just make sure you don't use the ground or else your items will disappear like all the quarterstaves from slain cowled wizards.

Your keep is always the best place to stash items, but if you stash something before completing the quest (e.g. stashing things in D'arnise Hold before killing TorGal,or the Sphere before defeating Lavok)it can be wiped out-I have recently lost the pommel of the Equalizer that way-when the quest is completed. So, make sure you have completed the quest before stashing anything.

Where do I sell my items? The nearest store/shop/inn/pub :D
Those are usually places where I often go, Copper Coronet, Adventurer's Mart.

I usually just dump them in the first container I come across. As far as I know, whichever container you put the items in stays there indefinitely so which one you choose doesn't make a lot of difference.

The items won’t disappear no matter where you
put them as long as the area is accessible.

[IMG] That is so not correct. Sometimes area numbers change (e.g. some strongholds after having been beaten), the items stored in the old area (call it AR0001_unfinished) are then inaccessible (because new area is AR0001_finished).

Ah. Got you. But storage places in the city streets never change, do they? I mean, I've stored items in a little barrel by Cromwell's home for a year or more of game time and never had them disappear.

Strange that no enterprising thief didn't come along and swipe them but I guess I was just lucky. ;)

That map-wipe was exactly my concern. Do any of the city maps get wiped during the course of the game?
