is there a peaceful way of taking it? normally i just go in pick the lock and steal it, kill all the guards and return. but there has to be a more peaceful way of doing it... i wanna do a few quests later and need the temple followers alive.
dont respond saying use shadowkeeper, thats the lame way out. im looking for a less bloody way outa this...

Dou you play evil? If so I think it is the opposite quest to stealing the necklace of Thalos for Maer`Var ?! Necer had this quest ...
Have you tried to steal it? A good thief can steal almost anything unbloody ...

How about invisiability potions? Use a thief to sneak in and grab whatever, if any alarms are raised drink the potion and dissapear. There are plenty of invisability potions throughout the game and you could also buy one.

Actually Slappy had it right on the head. But there is also 'charming' that needs to be done on any near church members.

If you get real skillful with the space bar you can leave shadows, pause, pick lock pause, return to shadows, pause, open container, pause, return to shadows, pause, get items, return to shadows,... and so on.

It seems to work well in certain situations. I generally combo Improved invisibility and Stealth for the tricky scenarios' in the game.

[IMG] :D My dc fighter-thief :D ... yes, again ... had good stealth actuallies (100+ & potions of master thievery) and was wearing boots of stealth and the shadow armor.

Hiding in shadows and the mentioned spacebar/ stealth tactic work fine. And improved invisibility would certainly help ;)

Evil people get this quest instead of the Talosian one. Wonder if neutrals go for Helm?

I got the talosian one, but since I'm a good thief and a kleptomaniac I looted all the temples wondering what this thing was for. No bloodshed needed dudes, Just have other party members talk to the people staring at your thief and make them face the opposite direction then pick the lock ang make off with it. Wasn't hard at all.

[IMG] Yeah, I took the statuette. It wasn't worth anything, so I put it back! No problems either time.

The problem is you have to get out quickly or an alarm goes off (at least it did the second time I tried. First time I just drew the priest away, nabbed the statue and ran, and it was fine.
