Maybe you should raise your "Find traps" ability by a significant once your thief raises a level.

You don't click on things that you want the thief to look at. Just activate the ability by pressing the detect traps button. Then move SLOWLY through the area you're in (by slowly I mean not moving in great distances, go a little at a time). If you find a trap it will show up as a red outline of the trap area.

then click on the thief 'mask' icon, and click on the red area to disarm it.

when you're looking for traps, be ready to pause the game at an instant, half the time I find traps, I'm nearly about to walk over it.

It helps to have the thieves detect traps ability on all the time, if you're not in combat or picking locks. sometimes that way, you'll just get lucky and they'll spot a trap a good long time before you cross over it.

    Edit here:
I just posted this and noticed you double posted this thread. Just as friendly advice, don't do this, the Moderators of the board will probably give you a warning on this, and if you do it again, they'll ban you. Post it once, if you don't like the answers you're getting, ask a more specific question in the same thread you already started.

Incidently, (after reading the original thread) Coran, as I remember was not a good trap finder, he was good at hiding in the shadows and backstabbing, and picking locks. Imoen was a much better trap detector. You can see how good they are at different thief skills on the character page, if the skill number is alot less than 100, he's not very good at it.

That's right, don't post a new thread on the same topic as you did the day before; just post again in your original topic outlining your continued problem.
