Where can I find/buy a scroll of stoneskin? I've been to every shop I can find that has scrolls and nothing!

Kalah drops one in Quayle's circus. You can also buy one at the Adventurer's Mart.

You don't need to buy one. Just venture into Athkatla's streets at night, and watch a Vampire kill some Shadow Thieves...

I'm pretty sure the guy that sells scrolls has one too. He's at the top of the map of Waukeen's Promenade near the Mithrest Inn.

Those are all green scrolls. Didn't think you could read those. I'll see, thanks.

btw off topic, anyone know how to get the planar sphere stronghold started?

If you're a mage, the stronghold starts as soon as you complete the sphere quest. You start the sphere quest by meeting Valygar. You need his presence to open the sphere. You can either have him join your group, or just bring his body to the sphere and it will open.

Lady Yuth (in the Adventurer's Mart) also sells them. And they're blue; I don't think there are any green scrolls with the Stoneskin symbol.

The Planar Sphere requires either Valygar's presence in your party or your inventory (kill him and take the body). To get to the Umar Hills, you'll need to go to the Government District and talk to either Delon, the boy in the middle of the park, or Tolgerias, the Cowled Wizard in the middle of the Council Building, to put it on your map. Then exit the city via the City Gates.

There is a green spell with that symbol, but it's not stoneskin. I think it's stone to flesh.

    Oh, right.

BTW, Galoomp the Bookkeeper (the one Aldeth was talking about) has neither Stoneskin nor Stone to Flesh scrolls.

What do you mean by 'didn't think you could read those'? They're mage spells -- any mage can read them, cast them, or copy them into his/her spellbook.

I think there's also one in the Underwater City -- convienent how a presstess down there has all the spells Imoen will need....

I only found one that I apparently sold to the adventurers mart, no one else has 'em, (i've triple checked, it might just be me.. but meh).

I've done the sphere, (come on guys... I've played this game long enough to know the sphere quest), and Lavok gave me the sphere, but all I can do so far is have the golem patrol. No apprentices or anything cool that I used to hear people talk about.

You can only get the stronghold sphere quest if you are a mage or sorcerer. Multi-classed mages can also get the stronghold if they haven't accepted a stronghold for one of their other classes already. Provided you meet those provisions, a Cowled Wizard should dimension door into the sphere as soon as you go back in after completing the initial (Valygar required) quest. Of course, if your PC isn't a mage or has already accepted another stronghold (if multi-classed) then nothing will happen.

If you have the mulitple stronghold mod, then I don't know why it's not working. To be honest though, it's a pretty crappy stronghold. You don't really get any particularly useful items unless you are willing to kill off your apprentices. The best thing you get out of it is if you send the Knights of Solamnia home, and they give you a belt (I forget the name), which is decent, but it's more like you are buying the belt, as you only get it if you talk to Ribald who requries 9000 gp for his help.

Yea, I got rid of the knights before talking to the paladin stronghold. Too bad. That might be why it's not working? meh.

Where you start off, you go in an up/left direction and instead of turning where it leads you to the one king, you go straight, in there's a shop in the back corner. Kinda hard to find, I ran into it exploring my first time.

And the shopkeeper is a priestess. One might also miss it because of that.
