Story conceptions (SoA)

Upcoming fantasy story I'm thinking about writing, pls offer opinions & advice here.

General ideas follow Anya and her story Hollow Years - same basic plot as BG2:SoA, but with a unique protagonist, plot twists and characters.

protagonist is a human fighter who wakes up on an old boat with a bad headache. Turns out he's lost his formidable abilities with a blade, as the other two captives on the boat explain. One is a rather handsome bard, the other a charming female swashbuckler who is reportedly addicted to gold. The bard explains that he can sense magic, and supposedly senses a strong aura in the protagonist (Which he is doubtful of, being a warrior of the finest class). Still though, with a little prodding, the protagonist unlocks their chains by using three knock spells.

So the three battle through the boat and all that. They meet another companion, a strange elf magic user who's in the midst of slaying several orcs. The mage senses the aura of magic flowing from the protagonist, and promises to teach him all he knows when they got off this godforsaken ship.

So the three now four head on, seeing a charred corpse which the elf weeps openly at (the corpse was his lover, and partner in spellweaving). The adventure finally comes to a head when a captured orc reveals that a man named Irenicus is in control of the vessel.

Then the orc is slain (via a deathspell from Irenicus) and a short battle ensues, most chars are lightly wounded. Then Jon abruptly dimension doors away, and the ship makes a picture perfect landing in the docks district of Athkatla. Jon doors back in, and the elf mage gets off a lightning spell before the cowls teleport in.. Jon and the elf are captured.

Those are the rough notes I have down now. Anyone have any opinions?

I think the story is a bit inspired by the SoA story. I have no ideas, just use you own style and fantasy to make the story as good as possible for you.

I'm also busy with a story. I will be a story in wich Fantasy and Religious is combined. It will go about a fallen warrior that betrayed his Lord but that gets a new chance and a new leader (Jesus) and a new equimpment (the Weaponarmour of God like described in Ephesians 6). That text inspired me, and also the "re-rise" of Theoden and the Oathbreakers Erech.
