Everytime I played the game I found some people and thing which I couldn't find any use for them.
Some of them are these: in the bridge district there a couple: Lord Feveram and Lady Diana, they have some bodyguards, and they just are there during daylight; when you get to the docks a guy named Habib - I don't know- what else, throws you a scimitar, why?
There are these empty bottles in the guarded compound also, what are they for?
Well, I guess that's it for now, I'm sure there's a lot of other things and people that I don't know what role are they playing , maybe you can help by saying what else you've found.

 

Some of that stuff is just for flavor and entertainment. The nobles are just there to be ignorant, and Habib, well, I heard somewhere that he is someone's character from the original BG, and this player won some sort of a contest or something, so his character got a cameo in BG2 -- that could be BS, I don't know, I just remember reading it somewhere. I like the fact that every person who talks isn't necessarily a part of a big quest.

I like the prostitute in the Temple district going around trying to convince people that they fathered her child and so should pay up!

 

I believe that the consensus on SP for the empty bottles in the guarded compound is that they don't really have a purpose. Wait a second, I don't determine consensuses (consensi?). So, uh, never mind.

What I would like to know is what purpose the Balthis Estate serves. It's marked on my map, after all. Didn't it have something to do with Haer'Dalis? Ah, but I forget.

 

What about the guy in the promenade that simply can't stand elves. My first time through the game I played an elven F/M/T, and I encountered this guy. I simply lauged my ass of

 

I always wondered what the heck the town criers are talking about.

And what about that wizard in Adventurers Mart looking for some ingredient?

 

Or the crazy gnome in the docks by Ma'Vears joint. Whats his deal and why does he sing about all the group members.

 

Habib was an npc that won a cameo actually. The most fustrating strange thing for me is the celvin the crazy.

 

What about the draco in the Adventures Mart? he just ignores you.

 

No ones mentioned books!!!

When my little sister first played and was in Irenicus' dungeon, she was carrying every book that she found thinking that they had a purpose!!!
Then when she found the book shelves in the Adventures Mart..............

I making a MOD where there is someone who takes empty bottles and puts things in them. But I am trying to make it random - so you might get a potion or you might open the bottle and find something in it - like a Nishru thingy.

I think the mad cleric outside the Thieves Guild is weird.

 

In the bridge district, where the theatre is (I think is called The Five Flagoorns or something) inside there are two dwarf: H'rothgar Firehammer and Jerry Jamtoes, one is too drunk to talk to you and the other doesn't want to be stepped on.

 

@Stu - LOL! I have a big brother(Named DarkCroll while he was here) that carried every book he found after he got Korgan. He forgot where to look for the book, he just took every book he found. Missed heaps of gems and equipment this way.

 

Balthis Estate? I think I knew what every marked area was for, but I'm not even familiar with where the Balthis Estate is located. What city map, and where in the city map? I'm sure I've seen it, but I can't recall where.

 

Isn't Balthis estate that big building in the middle of bridge district?

 

No, that's Saerk Farrahd's estate. Used in Anomen's quest...

 

I'm thinking that the Balthis Estate has to be somewhere in Government District, as that is where the majority of the "Estates" are located. What's the one across the street (next to the prison I think) of the Roenall Estate? Is that it? The two in the south are the Delryn Estate and the Jystive (spelled horribly wrong) Estate where you get the Sir Sarles quest.

 

No guys Balthis estate is in bridge district (I just made that quest for Most Noble Order of Radiant Heart - dispossing of anti-paladins and they're standing near the entrance of Balthis estate).

 

I thought it was the house in the far northern part of the Temple district!?!

 

Balthis estate, yes, I guess is in the bridge district, but, what is that building for? as soon as you get in some guy wants you out, and if you kill them, you lost a lot of reputation.
