    I'm currently playing a fighter/cleric. I've started the cleric stronghold, but not the fighter one yet. Can I still get the fighter stronghold if I stop the cleric one and do complete the fighter one first, or am I locked into the cleric one, since I started that one first?

    Actually, there is a bug with the fighter stronghold and you should be able to get it even with the cleric one, given that you have the cleric one first. (Timing is important for this bug.) I never did it with a F/C, just a F/M, F/T or F/M/T, but the bug is with Nalia failing to pick up a variable that you already have a stronghold, so the fact that yours is the cleric one shouldn't matter.

    The inverse doesn't hold true. If you first finish the fighter stronghold, then you will be unable to get the cleric stronghold.

    What about other multi-class variants?

    A mage-thief for instance.

    Let's assume I start the Sphere, but decided I'd rather have the Guild. Can I stop the Sphere, not complete it, and still take the Guild as my stronghold (as long as it's completed first)?

    You always get the one you finish first. It doesn't matter which you start first IIRC.

    I'm not sure if it's funnier that Klorox started two nearly identical threads, or that Duke Eltan referred Klorox to Klorox's other thread. :D

    In regards to the actual question, you can complete the cleric stronghold quest first, just decline it when the temple offers you a space. You're stuck with the first stronghold that you accept, not the first stronghold quest that you finish.
