Purely by accident I noticed that Kangaxx, the over-ambitious demi-lich, is vulnerable to Sun Fire Bullets.

    Has anyone else observed this?

So, if you're having problem with the demi-lich form, quickly equip your party with slings, some Sun Fire Bullets each, Haste - and let him hav'em from all of the party members...

Yes, I've noticed, and that was how I killed him the first few times, before I knew of Spell Immunity and berserkers...

Yeah, but the Sling of Everand is +5 as well, and requires no ammunition. If you have that, it's just as good.

[IMG] Another very effective weapon for kangaxx the demi-lich (and undead in general) is flamethongue, the ever-underestimated flaming longsword without fire damage ;) :D

[IMG] ejsmith, is that supposed to be a joke? The killsword can kill anything in the game with a single stroke. Might as well say that instant-kill from the console works on Kangaxx.

Most effective: He's vulnerable to the Master of Nuhn...when you face the demi-lich, summon him....et voila! Enjoy your paté macabre!

Taluntain: The Killsword doesn't work too hot on trolls. They don't have enough time to go through their semi-death throes.

But yes, it was supposed to be mildly funny. As in "something other than a frown". But I know with Extremist, it would probably be more of a snarl.

    *sigh*

<whine> Why does everyone have to pick on the cheaters? </whine>

Um, wow! A cheat works on Kangaxx, SO impressive! Like I care.

Sunstone bullets do +2 and +2 firedamage... Strange that the game seem to see these bullet's as +4 bullets. I normally just use Protection from Magic scroll and Flamethongue on a fighter, or Spell Immunity, Tenser's Transformation together with staff of Rymn on a mage.. Both work well. But the bullets can be good assistance then for normally I kick Kangaxx in one on one.

I just killed Kangaxx again, quite easy this time with two guys attacking him. I had Anomen with the Sling of Everand, and my Assassin/Mage with the Staff of Rynn. I didn't use traps to kill him in lich form this time, so I'm very proud of myself :D.

Did you use protection of magic and spell immunity??? Else with your tactic you would still be imprisoned...

[IMG] Protection from Magic, of course. Heh, I had two Rings of the Ram; one from killing Torgelias and one from pickpocketing him before that, but I totally forgot about them during the battle.
